My Journey as a Field Study Student

            Field Study is a college subject in which you will experience the actual world teaching field, where you will observe your critic teacher, you can also experience doing your final mock display and other that a teacher need to do. This field study subject will assist us in being prepared for the real world of teaching.

            As I perform this Field Study, I meet a variety of obstacles as well as some enjoyable parts, such as connecting with students and witnessing on how my critic teacher delivering their lesson. At this time we got the opportunity to construct a lesson plan, interview our critic teacher, and do a mock demonstration during our field study. As I continue this journey in a private school I saw numerous things, such as how we should always be prepared when we enter the classroom and how we should constantly make an effort to prepare ourselves. And also we should always think differently everyday because here it will test your critical thinking skills. My journey here is not as easy as you think because here we have an hour that we need to achieve. All the hours, mins, seconds and even a week are very important in field study because everyday you will learn something that a future educator needs. I also experience here that they treated me as a professional teacher even though I am only an observer. Some of the students go to me just to ask something about math and i love it because it means that they trust me. In my one and a half month of observing in private school I can say that there are numerous things that i adapt and learn. That is why I am so thankful that I experienced it in a private school.

                We were also given an opportunity to observe in a public school. In New Era National High School I have experienced observing many critic teachers unlike in private school, because in private school we only observe two critic teacher but when it comes to public school I observe ten critic teacher that makes me happy because I see how they deliver their lesson differently. I observe how they use their technique in delivering their lesson and also you will observe the different approaches they use in different sections. I also had an opportunity to observe every level in high school that I am not experienced in private school. As time went by I learned so many things in public school. And also I'm so happy that my students recognize me even though I did not observe them in their school. I am so happy that they call me Ma'am and they will thank me for helping them. 

               I am blessed that I had an opportunity to observe both private and public schools. This Field Study helped me to mold myself and also to be ready with my teaching internship. I adapt all the things that my critic teacher taught me in my observation period. That is why I can say that my journey as a field study student is special and blessed.
